Fordlandia
Fordlandia is a book of a hundred pages, with a hundred hand-written vignettes of scenes and situations during a journey that a young photographer takes in exploring different areas of Detroit. There are no pictures, rather a procession of rich glimpses and philosophical moments that come with being in new territory.
The project title ‘Fordlandia’ refers to a city that Henry Ford constructed in the Amazon, a small manufacturing citadel that failed worse than Ford's much larger urban development project, Detroit.
